Path of Exile Currency

Path of Exile differs from most ARPGs in that there is no primary currency such as Gold; rather, the game focuses on functional currencies like orbs, catalysts, scrolls and sextants that serve various functions within its world. Orbs can be used to upgrade equipment or reconstruct one's passive skill tree, with some orbs having extraordinary value such as Chaos and Exalted Orbs that add powerful affixes to rare items.
